February 1 Chapter Meeting: Adele Steiner Brown

Wednesday, February 1, 2017, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Ekphrastic Poetry with Adele Steiner Brown

Ekphrastic poetry is a vivid description of a scene or, more commonly, a description of another work of art, usually visual. Ekphrastic poetry conveys the deeper symbolism of the corporeal art form through the imaginative act of narrating and reflecting on the action of, for example, a painting or sculpture.

Adele has a partiality for Ekphrastic poetry — poetry that some may think a little bit different. She wants to share that poetry with us with the hope that you will love it as much as she does.
